Complete Guide for the AMC Clinical Exam

Are you pursuing a medical career in Australia? The AMC Clinical Exam is the next big step if you’ve already aced the AMC MCQ CAT.   • Eligibility Criteria:

    You need to pass the AMC CAT MCQ exam before you can attempt the AMC Clinical Exam. If you are eligible to sit for clinical exam, AMC will notify you by email approximately three weeks before opening bookings for the next three months of exam sessions. At the moment, AMC is conducting limited online sessions and strict criterias need to be met to be eligible to sit the exam online. You must already be working in Australia as a doctor and priority is given to those living and working in remote areas, followed by semi remote and finally to metropolitan areas

 

  • Exam Structure and Format:

    The AMC Clinical Exam is intended to imitate real-world medical scenarios. Here’s what you may expect:
    Total Stations: 16 test stations and 4 rest stations (20 stations total).
    Duration: 10 minutes each station 2 minutes of reading time, 8 minutes of assessment time.
    Assessment Method: A combination of simulated patients, videotaped encounters, and supporting materials such as ECGs, CTG’s and medical photographs.
    You will be asked to rotate through these stations and complete a variety of tasks for evaluating your clinical skill.
