At Oyamed, our mission keeps us focused and accountable, our vision drives us and our values dictate how we succeed.

To best understand HOW we are different, we invite you to learn about our story…

Our Story:

My name is Vinu, and I would like to welcome you to Oyamed. Like you, I am a medical graduate and have traveled the same journey that most of you have undertaken or may be considering now.  Migrating to a new country and getting yourself established in a new country.

Since our inception in 2021, Oyamed has set out to enable IMGs to pass Australian Medical Council exams.

At OYAMED, we want to solve the biggest problem IMGs face in Australia: passing the Australian Medical Council (AMC) exams. We believe there is a better way to approach the exam. We train IMGs on the key skills needed to approach the Australian Medical Council (AMC) exams and the tricks to pass the AMC clinical OSCE. We aim to help you pass your AMC exams in the first go. Your success makes us at OYAMED happy.

No wasted time. No wasted money. No empty promise.

Let us help you achieve your potential.

OYA
OYA by Francisco Santos

Who is Oya?

In Africa, Oya (pronounced “oh-yah”) is the Yoruba Goddess of weather. She can invoke tornadoes, lightning, destructive rainstorms and fire. She stands for female leadership, persuasive charm, and transformation. Oya is also one of the most powerful of Brazilian Macumba deities.

As a Fire Goddess, it is Oya who brings rapid change and aids us in both inner and outer transformation. As the goddess of change, she brings down the dead wood to make room for the new, and she is known to use her machete or sword to clear a path for new growth.

When I wanted to create a name for my company, I wanted to honor women, our mothers, grandmothers, and daughters, for we  have a little bit of Oya in all of us and there is no limit to what we, as women can accomplish. And So, I named my company “Oyamed.”
